This page documents the many steps we’ve taken on our zero waste journey. Some are big. Some are small. All are important. Before I sat down and made this list I never imagined that we’d made so many changes already. I’m actually quite proud of how far we’ve come, especially over the last year. On days when I’m feeling overwhelmed at the enormity of it all I’ll come here and look at how much we’ve already achieved. Hopefully that’ll give me a boost of positive energy to take the next step.
We still have loads of changes to make so we’re in for a long journey. I’ve added the What’s Next? page in the hope that it’ll give us some focus. Identifying the next two or three changes we need to make and listing them on the page is my way of breaking down the journey into small, manageable steps. Telling you all about our next steps will hopefully help keep us accountable and give us a gentle push along the road.
Hopefully you’ll find some things here to inspire you, or maybe you have some tips for us. I’d love to hear from you if you’re on your own zero waste journey or if you’re considering making some changes. If you’ve already reached the holy grail of zero waste and have managed to get rid of your rubbish bin altogether, please tell us how you managed it!
If you want to browse the steps we’ve taken by category rather than chronologically, use the links in the menu.
